In this hands-on course, you’ll craft your very own articulated hardwood animal table lamp—a fun and functional piece that lights up any space! Over two days (8 hours total), you’ll learn essential woodworking techniques, safe tool use, assembly, and finishing. No experience? No problem! Everything is provided, and with only six spots available, you’ll get plenty of guidance. By the end, you’ll take home a stylish, poseable lamp with an LED bulb, made by you!
Day 1: Woodworking & Assembly
Introduction & Safety – Overview of tools, materials, and workshop safety
Shaping the Lamp – Cutting and sanding the hardwood pieces
Building the Frame – Assembling the articulated joints for movement
Day 2: Finishing Touches & Wiring
Smoothing & Finishing – Sanding, staining, or painting for a polished look
Electrical Setup – Installing the LED bulb and wiring the lamp safely
Final Assembly & Adjustments – Putting everything together and testing
