Want to start making cool stuff but don’t know a drill from a screwdriver?

Introduction to Working with Tools is a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop designed for people who want to start building, fixing, and creating,  but aren’t sure where to begin.

This one-day, 6-hour in-person course is perfect for complete beginners. You’ll learn how to safely and correctly use common hand tools and basic power tools through guided, hands-on learning at our workshop. No prior experience is required.

We’ll cover the absolute basics of working with tools, from understanding what each tool is used for to learning essential safety rules and techniques. If you’ve ever wanted to make something yourself but felt totally lost, this course will give you the confidence to get started.

What You’ll Learn

  • Tool Safety Basics – Learn how to safely use common hand tools and basic power tools

  • Essential Techniques – Measuring, cutting, joining, and finishing materials

  • Hands-On Experience – Complete a simple beginner project to build confidence and practical skills

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a solid foundation in tool safety and basic tool skills, and you’ll be ready to continue your making journey with confidence.
